If you have a handicap (mental, physical or emotional) you have a legal right to have a service dog . If you have a family pet dog that is already alerting you to seizures, low blood sugar, etc. or helps you to get up or balance you when you walk, redirects you when you have anxiety or panic attacks we can use your dog if it passes the evaluation. Those are just a few issues that I mentioned but there are hundreds of things that dogs can help with or alert to. If you need your dog to learn a special task, I may be able to assist you with that.) Service dogs are classified as medical equipment, but this particular piece of medical equipment has feelings, has needs and gets hungry along with other needs. It really doesn't make sense for you to obtain another dog when you already have a dog that could potentially fit the bill. If you need a dog we can also discuss that. Together we will train your dog with all the commands he/she needs to be a well-mannered service dog. I will also go into stores and restaurants with you and your dog to make sure your dog learns "Service Dog Etiquette" and how to properly act in public. We will conclude with the PAT (Public Access Test) which is the standard measurement for Service Dogs. Although NOT LEGALLY REQUIRED, I will make you a photo ID and an Accreditation Certificate, which can often simplify things for you. I will also supply you will a book containing the service rules and regulations. The total cost for this is $600 (not thousands).

With having two service dogs I’m able to leave my husband home and I can go grocery shopping without worrying. To most this isn’t important but for us it was a game changer. (3.) Anyone that has a disability that thinks they may benefit from a service dog ? I have a special needs child that definitely does. We knew we qualified but the waiting list was 4+ yrs long and several thousand $$$$. I researched to see if it was possible to get personal training / coach to help me train my own dog That’s when I found Sandra at Purrfect Pooches. We worked together with the dog and the child in the classroom out in stores restaurants etc. How do you spell happy for a fraction of the price. I not only have a well behaved dog but a child who benefits from his training ❤️I highly recommend the if you’re looking to do service dog training to check her out. You won’t be sorry!
