Rare Lenox Belleek Cache Pot #2632/p425-7. Signed J. Nosek.
Han John Nosek traveled to America in 1903 and worked for Lenox until 1908 when he struck out on his own. He returned to Lenox in 1939. His early works were signed H. Nosek, but after his return he used his American name, John, and signed his pieces, J. Nosek. He was best known for his hand painted flowers and portraits.
This vase is 6.75' tall, 6" across in diameter at the mouth, and have a circumference of 16.5" at its widest. These unique cache pots/vases stand on a footed and fluted base 1.5" high and approximately 3.5" in diameter. The mouth and base is rimmed with a bright gold band. It has hand painted large, pink and purple flowers on a creamy white porcelain bowl.
The condition of this piece is excellent.
